[3/2 Weekend] Gamma Decay

GMs: Mehitabel Glenhaber

"'If this was the cold war, we could keep each other warm'/ I said on the first occasion that I met Marie/ We were crawling through the hatch that was the missile silo door/ And I don't think that she really thought that much of me."

Six people. A nuclear bunker. A race to unlock the secrets of the atom before the soviets do. Gamma Decay is a cold-war thriller high-drama theater LARP in scenes for six players, about science, love, and the madness that lurks at the edge of man's souls. Based on The Temptation Of Adam, by Jason Ritter.

[3/9 Weekend] ECLECTIC DREAM Summit

GMs: Kendra Beckler

The international community is in chaos after Eve, a notoriously anti-human super AI, took an entire orbital colony hostage today. Protesters throughout every megalopolis are calling for harsh reductions in AI rights as public sentiment turns against all of Eve's kind.

Eve is expected to announce her list of demands soon. An emergency taskforce has been called by ECLECTIC DREAM, the Emergency Congress for Legislative, Economic, and Coordinated Tactical Inter-Colonial Defense Responsive to Exotic Adversaries in the Matrix. The Chambeaux mansion on the Moon Colony is now playing host to a diverse group - diplomats, cyber cowboys, pop idols, lowlife hustlers, and more - sent by interested corporations, governments, and shadow organizations. No one knows yet what sorts of talents will be most useful on the taskforce. No one knows yet which outside interests will end up pulling the strings of the taskforce and coming out ahead after the crisis.

Everyone is purportedly here to resolve the crisis and to free the citizens of the Hisseldale cylinder, whether by negotiating with Eve and complying with her demands or by organizing a militant response from the other colonies and megalopoli, but you can't trust that their priorities are on the up-and-up. After all, yours aren't.

Cyberpunk set in the Sprawl, a world with sentient AIs, cloning, personality uploading, cryonics, and cybernetics, a super AI has gone rogue and taken hostage an entire orbital colony. Eclectic Dream Summit is a game of identity, deception, scandal, cyberpolitics, the limits of humanity, and maybe even resolving this crisis.

Eclectic Dream Summit is the 2nd in the Sprawl series, taking place approximately 20 years after the events of Ascent to Hisseldale. LARPs in the Sprawl series are independent. They require no knowledge of any others in the series and have minimal spoilers.

[3/30 Weekend] Jurassic LARP

GMs: Mehitabel Glenhaber, Robert Rusch

This land could have been a paradise for us.

WARNING: Containment breach in exhibit F17. WARNING: Containment breach in exhibit F17. This is not a drill. Repeat. This is not a...

In their labs, they resurrected our people. They brought us back from the dead and gave us the gift of life.

Billy? Billy! Excuse me, mister, please, what's going on? My child is still in there!

..and then they enslaved us, gawked at us, caged us for their own entertainment. They treated us like toys.

EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY. Please walk quickly to the nearest emergency transport. EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY.

And they denied us our birthright...the hunt.

Well now, now my sisters...

No, this should be possible! We did the tests! Everything was supposed to be secure...how could they-``

God creates dinosaurs, God kills dinosaurs, God creates man, man kills God, man creates dinosaurs.

[4/6 Weekend] Spring Guild Meeting

GMs: The High Council

Politics and backstabbing *without* character sheets!

Free food! Officer Reports. Free Food! Elections. Free Food! Standing Policy debates. Did I mention Free Food?! Masterings.

(More seriously, the Spring Guild meeting is when elections happen. Current students, if you do not attend, we cannot elect anyone to Grandmaster or Secretary of the Exchequer, and then the Guild will stop running.)

[4/20 Weekend] Murder on the Starlight Express

GMs: Ken Clary, Jayson Lynch, Jay Muchnij

Do you want to play the First One-Night Ever? Then sign up for Starlight! It's older than the entire High Council! Back from the dead!

Oh, you want to know what it's about?

Well, the original blurb said:

"Captain, I think I've found something!"

 "What is it, Officer?"

"I think it's the Science Officer, sir..."

 "So, what's the big deal?"

 "Well, he's dead, sir...."

 "Oh bloody hell..."

Welcome to "Murder on the Starlight Express", a six hour, experimental murder mystery assassin game. You can be one of ten crewmen trapped onboard the Freighter Gabriel, on course from Ceti Alpha 6 to Epsilon Eridani 4, with a murderer (or two) trapped on board. It's the classic whodonit, but in assassin style, where the criminals can shoot back, and maybe even shoot first.

[4/27 Weekend] Sierra Alpha One Nine

GMs: twohlers, Thomas Chappell

For over twenty years now, your world has been under attack by the aliens commonly called 'the Slugs.' With humanity fighting for its survival and most of the older military personnel dead, academies were set up twenty years ago to train children from youth to be the next generation of soldiers. You are near the top of your class, and will likely have your choice of career open to you. Before you graduate, however, you must undergo the infamous 'Sierra Alpha' test. What this test involves is a closely guarded secret that no one talks about at all, but it definitely involves no risk of death or serious injury.

Set in a futuristic Earth-like world, Sierra Alpha One Nine is a four hour game of survival, teens separated from grown ups and dealing with questions of authority, relationships between people in high stress situations, finding yourself, and figuring out just how easy it is to solve all your problems with violence. Both combat and roleplaying are emphasized.

Originally written for Guild Camp 2015 as Sierra Alpha One Seven by Haley Bates, Thomas Chappell, Sparrow Rubin, and Thomas Wohlers, edited for a new run by GM and writing team of Thomas Chappell and Thomas Wohlers.

[5/4 Weekend] Fading Lights

GMs: Edwin Karat, Xavid, Jakob Weisblat

It was a day like any other. The sun was shining through the trees. Birds were singing. You were going about your normal day.

And then, without warning, there was a piercing wail. Was it the fire alarm? A siren? No, it was coming from your room. Your normal, ordinary, room. Specifically, from a shard of mirror that you’d picked up years ago, kept as a curiosity. That had never before done anything but reflect light. Now it was translucent and glowing in a strange color. Before you knew what to make of it, there was a voice, a slightly-garbled message. “The hero Kendall Rodgers has failed to bring the Stones of Renewal! The Library is dying. I don’t want to die! Come save me!”

Were you going crazy? There was no one around to ask if they’d heard it too. Without thinking about it, you reached out and touched your shard. And then, with a feeling like being turned inside out, you were here. No longer your sunny room, but a dimly-lit, dusty library. With a handful of others that looked as confused as you felt. And two large, gnarled trees, moving oddly in the still air. One of whom was still calling out, in a panic, “Save me!”

[5/4 Weekend] Til Human Voices

GMs: slane, kbeth

Scientists aboard the DSV Ammonite have been exploring the waters of the South Pacific for several weeks and their mission is due to finish in a few hours. Desperate to find something of note, the crew has steered for an unmapped portion of the seafloor to explore. Isolated from the surface and with limited communication while operating outside the sub, the crew of the Ammonite is truly alone... or are they?

Til Human Voices is a 2 Hour game of eldritch horror and deep sea exploration. It is intended as a mechanics test for a longer game in the future, though it will also have plot and characters. We are intending to run this game several times throughout the weekend. We will need some NPCs. NPCing one run will not bar you from playing in another.
